After much success from the summer holiday training, BAV Club decided to endorse the same program for April holidays.
This year, the club was able to support Student Members to play and train in badminton for free during the holiday program. The aim is to encourage and support kids to get more involved in the sport especially during their school break as it is a great form of not only exercise but also social well-being.
We were happy to see that on the first day of the program, 17 of our Student Members attended, with two of them becoming members on the spot. Across the five days, we had a total of 65 attendees with five of them playing all five days.
Normally we would have two weeks of holiday badminton, one in Mount Waverley and one in Kilsyth. Due to the National Championships in Bendigo falling in the first week of holidays, we wanted to combine the students from both locations to one, which was a great opportunity for the students to meet and play together.
We hope the parents and the kids have enjoyed themselves and we would love to see them again in the next holiday program.
Thank you to our coaches and parents plus Knox Indoor Sports.
